Food and Beverage    

We will be coordinating meals  but would love help if you want to pitch in on ideas, supplies or $$. We will also have a couple kegs but knowing the booze-drinking-fish in this group, and the distance to the nearest store (40 minutes), please pack your favorite reserves.   

Costume Contest

Bring your favorite lucky accessories to help you win the Games! Costumes will be part of your score, so dress wisely for impact and athleticism.

Shootin'

We love to shoot clay pigeons at the Shootin' Shack, so if you have a shotgun please feel free to bring it. HOWEVER, we have a strict NO LEAD policy at Redwing, so be sure to pick up some non-lead game loads before coming down. They are only about a $1 more per box at Walmart or Cabela's so you have no excuse!

No hand guns please.

Camping

There is no shortage of places to throw down a bed roll (or a tent for those of you who are less cowboy), but not all of them will have soft grass so don't forget the sleeping pad! We will have portable loos and wash sinks, solar showers and there are a couple showers in the the house. And there is always the river to freshen up in! :)

There will also be a few beds and overflow floor space in the Main house, Bunk House, Art Studio and Orphan House if you are flying in and don't want to haul the tent :)

Games!!!!!

2018 will be the 2nd Biannual  Ranchin' Games so bring your festive spirit and some shoes that you can move quickly in! These games will test your city slicker ways in the ranchin' life. Fabulous prizes for those that succeed! We also have horse shoes, corn hole, badmitten and other party games to keep you busy if you need additional entertaining :)

What to Bring 

• Clothes ~ The weather in the Colorado mountains can be unpredictable so bring layers. The days will likely be warm, 80+ degrees and the nights comfortable to cool. However, we can have thunder storms and wind at any time.
• PPE ~ don't forget your personal protective equipment! Sunscreen, hats and sunglasses. It is high altitude living.
• Swimming ~ bring your suit, nothing better than taking a dip in the refreshing running water of the Huerfano River on a hot day! 
• Headlamps/flashlights ~ just a reminder, it is fantastically dark out at the ranch! So bring some light for navigating after hours just incase the stars are not bright enough for you.
• Chairs ~ if you have camp chairs it would be awesome for you to bring them!

Dogs

Well behaved dogs that don't run away or chase livestock are always welcome. It's good if they don't steal food off of tables too!
