About the event
This complete CCBB course curriculum is designed as a foundation to enable students to receive basic introductory training in the planning, design and implementation of low complexity “pile” burning projects and an understanding of project complexity.
Upon completion of this entire online and in-person course, students will demonstrate, through exercises and a final exam, an understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective low complexity Certified Burner “B” and/or Burn Boss Type 3. Once successfully completed, the student will be able to apply to join the Colorado Certified Burner Program as a Certified Burner Level “B” (CCBB).
Part 1: The Required Online Pre-Course
This online Pre-Course is designed to give students that have no experience or training in Wildland Fire the foundation of wildland fire terms, basic fire behavior and environmental conditions, wildland fire safety and fuels characteristics.
