Silver & Soil

Brought to you in partnership with Jessica Wegener and the Redwing Ranch Autumn Series. Learn the art of beginning silversmithing in a hands-on, immersive experience on a working Colorado ranch.

Workshop Overview

Join us September 10–14, 2025, for Silver & Soil, a four-day immersive workshop hosted and curated by Redwing Ranch in Gardner, CO. This elevated, stay-based experience is led by Wyoming-based silversmith, hunter, and traveling artist Jessica Wegener of Wyo Prairie Fire Designs.

Meet Your Instructor

Jess Wegener (you might also know her as Jess Dollard) is the silversmith behind WYO Prairie Fire Designs, where her love for wild Wyoming landscapes, Indian Paintbrush blooms, and bold turquoise come to life in every handmade piece. By day, Jess is a full-time dental hygienist, and by night she’s at the bench — crafting small-batch silver and turquoise jewelry that reflects her deep appreciation for nature, heritage, and western craft. What started as a self-taught passion project quickly turned into a thriving creative outlet, and now she’s sharing her skills and spirit with others. In the Silver & Soil experience, Jess brings warmth, encouragement, and a love of learning to the table. Whether you're brand-new or building on existing skills, you’ll walk away with confidence, craft, and something beautiful you made yourself.
